Electrocautery

Electrocautery uses controlled electrical energy to treat or remove certain minor skin concerns. Depending on the provider’s evaluation, it may be used for selected skin tags and other appropriate benign superficial lesions. A medical assessment is required before treatment to confirm that the concern is suitable for electrocautery. Treatment time, aftercare, and healing will depend on the type, size, number, and location of the areas being treated.
